IT'S OFFICIALL

Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and NYC and Company have announced that Fashion's Night Out will return for a third, and certainly most spectacular, year on September 8, 2011.

While details on what to expect are still emerging, one thing is for sure: After putting together the largest public fashion show in New York City history last September, there is no telling what you can expect this year. We can promise, however, that across the globe, from Brooklyn to Berlin, it will be a night to remember—and all in support of all aspects of the fashion industry.

WRITE ABOUT PLANS FOR A VISIT

Hi Sarah,

I’m just writing to check that everything’s Ok for your visit.

I think you’ll like Banyoles. On Saturday morning, we’re going to do a walk around the lake, maybe my parents will come with us, because they really wants to show you the natural enchantments of the city. We’ll be very busy in the afternoon because we’ll go to Girona to watch a film. Probably, some of my friends will come with us. I expect we’ll end up in a little bar eating a cup of hot chocolate.

On Sunday, we could get a train and go to Portbou. I go there on summer holidays. It’s a lovely place. We can go by the speed boat to a pretty little beach. I’ll show you some photos of there.

We’re going to meet you at the airport next week.

Happy to see you soon,
Blanca.

But William did not choose to be famous. When he was seven years old, William told his mother, Princess Diana, that he wanted to be a policeman. His brother, Harry, said "No, you can't. You've got to be the king!". His mother tried to give him a notmal life. She tookhim to Dinseyland and McDonald's. William went to university too, where he meet his future wife, Kate Middleton. Now the British press are obsessed with the couple!.

THE STORY OF COCO CHANEL

In 1895, the mother of Channel died and her father left the family. Because of this, she spent six years in one orphanage, where she learned seamstress. When she became eighteen, she left the orphanage, to become a cabaret singer. During this time, Chanel performed in some clubs where she was called “Coco’’.

She failed trying to become a cabaret singer. But while she was working in that, she met a rich French textile inheritor, Étienne Balsan, with who earlier will be the lover, with a job in a tailoring shop. While she was living with Balsan, Chanel began designing hats as a hobby, what soon became something more than that. After, Coco left Balsan and she moved to Paris.

In 1909 Chanel met and began an affair with Edward Capel. He financed Chanel's first shops and her own clothing style because he liked her creation and her innovator look. The affair ended nine years later, and Capel married an aristocratic English woman, but he didn’t break off at all with Chanel.

Chanel became a licensed modiste in 1910 and opened a boutique in Paris, named Chanel Modes. Chanel's designer career became more popular when the theatre actress Gabrielle Dorziat started wearing her hats in 1912. One year later, she opened a new boutique in Deauville, where she introduced luxe casual clothes that were practical for sport. By 1919, Chanel established her maison de couture at 31 rue Cambon.

These days, Coco Chanel is one of the most famous luxe fashion brand of the world, specially for the little black dress (LBD), what has become an item in most women’s wardrobes. The company has had many high-profile celebrities, like Nicole Kidman (Chanel No. 5), Keira Knightley (for Coco Mademoiselle), and the most famous, Marilyn Monroe (Chanel No. 5).

Lourdes Leon

Lourdes Leon is not an actress or a pop star, but she is famous. Lourdes is the daughter of the queen of pop, Madonna. Because of these, the press everything that she does. Lourdes is a student at LaGuardia, the famous school of performing arts in New York. But a British newspaper says that she got a place at the school without auditions. Some students at the school say this is unfair!

Lourdes wants to be like her mother. They have a fashion label called Material Girl, named after the hit song by Madonna. It's not easy for Lourdes to find her identity when her mother is such an icon!
